Assessment Title Online Quizes
Task Description
Two online quizzes will be conducted in Weeks 5 and 11 accessible through the Assessment block.
Online quizzes will open Monday morning at 9.00am AEST and close Friday night at 11.45pm AEST.
You may attempt the quiz once only. You must complete the quiz in 20 minutes.
There will be no extension for quizzes. There is no alternative test to quizzes
The content of the quizzes will be as follows:
Week 5 Quiz 1 (chapters 1-16, 26 questions, 13 marks )
Week 11 Quiz 2 (chapters 19-21, 25-26,27-28 and 29, 24 questions, 12 marks)

2 Written Assessment
Assessment Title Literature review
Task Description
Assessment 1 Literature Review is related to course learning outcomes numbers 1, 2, 3 5, 6. It gives you the opportunity
to enhance your research, analysis, and presentation and written communication skills. You will hand in your written
report on Monday 22nd August. You will be assigned a time to present in weeks 7-10
Task: In this Assessment item, you will pick one article from the list of articles provided on the course Moodle site. Based
upon this article you will write a 1000-1500 word essay with a minimum of 8 academic references that describes and
evaluates all of the following characteristics:
1. The topic of the article
2. The objective of the article
3. The methodology and means of analysis used in the article
4. The argument advanced in the article
5. The conclusions/findings of the article
6. The implications for managers/management during organisational change processes
In addition, you will need draw upon the first 6 parts of the essay to critically analyse the argument in terms of its:

8. Weaknesses
Lastly, you will present the information contained in your essay to the class in a 7-10 minute presentation.
Both your essay and your presentation should include 8 other academic/practitioner articles. In using these articles you
can link your article to existing research on the topic and/or alternative approaches to the topic.

Assessment Title Case Analysis Report
Task Description
Objective
This assessment item relates to course learning outcomes numbers 1 to 7. The primary purpose of this
assessment is to assist you develop skills in the use of change process and management theories and
models in the analysis of a typical business situation that has organisation and structural change and
development concerns. The assignment requires you to analyse the current situation, and suggest
practical and probable solutions. The secondary purpose of this assignment is to give you the
opportunity to apply you research, analysis, critical thinking and written communication skills,
particularly the ability to write a case analysis report.
Task
You case study report is 2000 words long and will include 15 academic resources. While each case is
different, you will need to include
1. Report cover page

Problem analysis and justification
6. Alternative Solutions
7. Recommendations
8. Implementation

Assignments will be returned after the marking and moderation processes are

Assessment Criteria
Application of theory and literature (15%)–Application of theory and literature into the discussion,
analysis, solutions and recommendation for the presenting issues of the case.
Discussion (15%)–Discussion of significant problems/case issues relating to the case background
and situation.
Analysis (15%)–analysis of the problems/case issues; including a critical analysis and clear argument
supported by evidence.
Alternative solutions (15%)–Identification of alternative solution.
Recommendations (15%)–Identification and justification of the chosen solution to the problem/case
issues.
Implementation plan (15%)—Actions undertaken in order to implement the solution to the
problem/case issues.
Presentation (15%)–A structure with a clear introduction, well organised material, and a strong
conclusion. Correct referencing of sources and standard use of written communication.
